Cisco RV180W Wireless-N Multifunction Router

The Cisco RV180W Wireless-N Multifunction Router ($246 MSRP) makes it easy to set up a firewall, a VPN server, a router, and a wireless network with a single, compact box. The company also offers the RV180 ($182), with all the same features minus the wireless network. The RV180W addresses a lot of the things that were missing in the Cisco RV110W Wireless-N VPN Firewall, such as increasing the number of VPN users supported and adding Gigabit Ethernet ports.

The RV180W aims to offer security, remote access and simple configuration. Even though Cisco is marketing this dual-band wireless router as a small business product, it is comparable to some of the higher-end consumer routers tested recently, such as the Netgear N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router WNDR4500 and AirStation Nfiniti High PowerGiga Wireless-N Router & Access Point from Buffalo Technology. Pricewise, the RV180W is? comparable to Netgear's N900, although it has more features in common with Buffalo's AirStation line of routers.

Hardware Specifications
The Cisco RV180W has one WAN port for Internet connectivity and four Gigabit LAN ports in the back. There are two external antennas on the back for wireless networking. Square and compact, it measures 1.18? x 5.91? x 5.91? (HWD) and weighs a mere 0.61 lbs.

The glossy front panel has indicator lights for power, wireless activity, Internet connectivity, and for each of the four LAN ports. The front panel also has an AP indicator that lights up steady green when the router is being used as an access point. The Bridge indicator is green when it is acting as a bridge.

The back panel has a power button, a reset button to reboot the router or to restore factory settings, and a port to plug in the AC power cable. Unlike the previous RV110W, the four LAN ports on the back of the RV180W support Gigabit Ethernet. While Gigabit Ethernet is not yet a must-have on most business routers, the increasing number of applications, file-sharing, and video streaming within the office make it a should-have.

Features
Like the earlier RV110W, the R180W would be attractive to many businesses because of its built-in VPN server. Considering how expensive and time-consuming it can be to deploy a VPN server for remote workers to connect and access office printers, databases, and applications, a router with built-in VPN is a bargain. The RV180W supports both the widely-supported PPTP and QuickVPN protocols and allows up to 10 VPN connections at time. This is an improvement over the RV110W, which supported only five users at a time.

Cisco upgraded the RV180W to broadcast on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz-band and included WDS bridging/repeating and WEP/WPA/WPA2 consumer and Enterprise wireless security. The router can also be configured to broadcast on four VLAN-based SSIDs. Businesses would appreciate the various options available for setting up the wireless network.

The well-organized Web interface is chock-full of firewall and routing options, including port forwarding, firewall access rules, quality of service, and creating VPN user accounts.

The RV180W supports IPv6 out of the box, making it a sound investment for any business planning to upgrade their networks to adopt the newer Internet address standard down the road. Businesses should pay careful attention to make sure new equipment have IPv6 support, or the eventual transition is going to be really painful.

Cisco Quick Start
Setting up the RV180W was a snap, as I followed the enclosed printed Quick Start Guide to connect the router to the computer and to the network. When I opened up the Web interface with the default IP address and login credentials, the Setup Wizard launched automatically. The entire process took less than 10 minutes, and included setting up security on the wireless network, changing the password for the default account, configuring the router's WAN gateway settings, and testing to make sure I had Internet connectivity. Plenty of on-screen tips and explanations were available at every step.

I also had the option to configure the router to broadcast a different MAC address. Many ISPs secure customer connections by locking the IP address to a specific hardware MAC address to prevent someone from swapping routers or firewalls without the administrator's knowledge. The RV180W can broadcast the MAC address of the computer being used to run the Setup Wizard, or an entirely different address (such as the previous router being replaced).

I appreciated the Setup Wizard's focus on security. The interface warned me when I selected a password that wasn't strong enough and defaulted to a secure wireless setup by default. When I tried to set up an open wireless network, the wizard displayed several warnings.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ? A day after the historic Facebook IPO, founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his status Saturday to "married."

Zuckerberg wed 27-year-old Priscilla Chan, his girlfriend of nearly a decade, according to a guest authorized to speak for the couple. The person spoke only on the condition of anonymity.

The couple married at his Palo Alto, Calif. home in front of fewer than 100 stunned guests who thought they would be attending a party to celebrate Chan's graduation from medical school.

Zuckerberg gave his new bride a ring he had designed with a "very simple ruby" to end an incredibly eventful week, according to the guest.

On Monday, Zuckerberg turned 28 and Chan graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, where she'd studied pediatrics.

Then on Friday, Zuckerberg took his blue-and-white web behemoth public in one of the most anticipated stock offerings in Wall Street history.

The seemingly well-coordinated timing was largely a coincidence, the guest said. The wedding had been planned for months and the couple was waiting for Chan to finish medical school, but the date of the IPO was a "moving target" not known when the wedding was set.

Attendees, including Facebook's chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg, were told after they arrived that they were not mere party guests but wedding guests.

"Everybody was shocked," the guest said.

The person would not discuss the names of others who attended to protect their privacy.

Ditching his trademark hoodie and sneakers, Zuckerberg sported a dark blue suit and tie with a white shirt for the ceremony, while Chan wore a traditional white wedding dress with veil and lace.

Food was served family-style and included dishes from the couple's favorite Palo Alto sushi restaurant.

Zuckerberg met Chan at Harvard, where he founded Facebook in a dorm room in 2004, and have been together for more than nine years.

Chan's own Facebook page, which now lists her as married to the founder, said she is a native of Braintree, Mass., and attended high school in nearby Quincy.

She graduated Harvard in 2007 then taught science to fourth and fifth graders at the Harker School in San Jose for two years before starting medical school, according to her profile.

Her page also says she "loves cooking and soft things."

Even after the IPO, Zuckerberg, who grew up in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., remains Facebook's single largest shareholder, with 503.6 million shares, and he controls the company with 56 percent of its voting stock.

The site has grown into a worldwide network of almost a billion people and made its founder, Time magazine's Person of the Year in 2010, one of the most famous businessmen of the Internet age.

The best way to Discover the best Home Improvement Contractors

There are quite a few reasons house owners will demand the services of home improvement contractors. One of these causes is when homeowners need to have hardwood flooring installation. Of the many residence improvement projects, wood flooring installation is deemed by property owners to be 1 of the most difficult and they opt to hire professionals for the job. When seeking to possess hardwood installed within your property, you will discover recommendations on how you'll be able to pick the best contractor that may carry out the installation project.

Initially of all, you should think about working with corporations specializing in hardwood floors as opposed to just all varieties of flooring. While carpet installers can provide outstanding job on hardwood, working using a firm that understands the ins and outs of hardwood floor covering is extra excellent.

If there?s somebody you know who has recently had hardwood installed in their property, ask in case you can see it and if it can be just what you would like, don?t hesitate to acquire a reference from them.

This really is the very best way for you to make some judgments on the service top quality a particular enterprise can present. Ask for some pictures of the wood flooring installation projects the contractor has done. Examine these photos meticulously and verify out facts which include the finishing and edging on the space. In some instances, you won?t be able to tell quite a bit of items about the job based on the picture you've noticed but companies which are proud to show you its work will let you see their previous projects.

After you have already narrowed your search down to a few companies, choose the hardwood product that would perfectly fit your needs. The enterprise will commonly provide you with a quote for the project and this works very best if the corporation representative will come to your property and see the layout. For non-standard layouts which include the stairs, the cost increases and this might be observed only of the representative personally measures your home.

Even though it is tempting to go for services which are more affordable, remember that the option you make shouldn't be depending on the cost alone. Despite the fact that price tag has a huge role to play within your decision producing method, but organizations that supply lowest price might not provide you the most effective job. If you require wood flooring installation Palm Coast Fl, you'll want to be sure to choose a contract that delivers good quality service at competitive rates.

Zynga Shares Go On Wild Ride During Facebook IPO ? Big Fall, Then Recovery [Updated]

Zynga's share price plummeted 11.4 percent from $8.09 to $7.19 in the eight minutes after Facebook's IPO went live, and down 13.3 percent since yesterday. Trading has been halted to stem further losses. While we can't know the exact reason why this happened, I'd bet that investors expected Zynga shares to pop alongside Facebook's during the IPO. But when they didn't pop at all and instead stayed flat, those short-term investors sold off the social gaming company's shares. Many tech stocks have traded downward following Facebook's open. Chinese social network?Renren,?professional?network?LinkedIn, and some other related tech stocks are also down.

Concern Of Dedication In Relationships - CareCrunch Answers

Concern of commitment scientifically, is a sort of phobia. It is generally called because the dedication phobia which refers to an individual who?s afraid of being dedicated to any deep relationships, tasks, initiatives and responsibilities.

Have you ever know someone who has the fear of dedication? I?ve a number of pals who have the symptoms of this sort of phobia. Most of them are men. They can?t decide on simple things. They discover it hard to decide on on what to eat during a dine-out in a restaurant, they can?t select between good movies, even on what to wear. And worst no one of them has ever been to serious relationships, contemplating the truth that they?re already in their 30?s and is a perfect marrying age for men.

Let me inform you about my buddy named Patrick. He is one of my closest mates and he is a bachelor who makes good money. Ladies are coming out and in of his life like the wind. And no person appears to last even those that I believe would last. I suspected that he has fear of commitment. But he will not accept it, which in actual fact is one other characteristic of an individual who has a worry of commitment. We had a conversation about it once. Right here it goes:

Me: ?Have you ever been to a severe relationship earlier than? Patrick: ?Nope.? Re replied. Me: ?Why?? Patrick: ?It?s as a result of I?m not prepared yet.? Me: ?What are the things that made you not ready? I requested again. He simply shrugged his shoulders and paused. Patrick: ?It?s simply because I?m afraid to decide to a girl, and I don?t need to get married at this time. I?m afraid that I?ll not deal with the tasks of a father and a husband at the similar time.? Me: ?Then you are a type of who?re afraid of commitments or the concern of commitment.? Patrick: ?Am I? I do not think so.?
